Plan my folders

VergeLabs Library → Folders, on the Tree step.

One button builds a folder tree from what the AI has already recorded about your pictures. You read the tree, change what you like, and nothing is filed until you confirm it.

What you need #

• A licence key. A free trial key counts.
• At least five described pictures. Describing is on the first step of the same screen, at 1 credit a picture. See How the AI layer works.

What it does #

When a picture is described, the AI records what it shows as a label: the object, its broader class, and the kind of picture when it is not a photo — for example "platform sneaker; footwear". Planning works on those labels, not on the pictures.

1. Your site counts every distinct label and how many pictures carry each. This needs no service call, and it is how the price on the button is worked out.
2. The labels and counts go to the service, which arranges them into folders fifteen times over.
3. Back on your site, the arrangement whose pictures sit closest together is kept, judged with the pictures' vectors, which never leave your site. A label the service left out joins the folder it is nearest to.
4. The result becomes the draft on the Tree step. Every folder you already have is kept where it is.

A folder in the plan holds at least five pictures, a folder has at most twelve children, and the tree is at most three levels deep.

A plan can take a while, so pressing the button starts a job and the screen checks on it. You can leave it running.

The audience question #

If your pictures do not show whether they are for men, women or kids, and your product category names do not say either, the Tree step asks once whether to split folders that way. The plan does not guess.

What it costs #

30 credits plus 15 per 100 distinct labels, rounded up, at most 480. The price is on the button before you press it: 19 labels is 33 credits, and the button reads Plan my folders · 33 credits.

Once a tree is confirmed, the button reads Plan my folders · free.

Confirming a tree has its own price, which is on the This is my tree button when it is not nothing: the first 100 folders are free, then 1 credit per 6 folders.

When a plan is not shown #

A plan is offered only when it is clearly better than your folders as they stand. It is not shown, and its credits are asked back, when:

• it would not beat the folders you already have,
• its answer did not arrive, or
• you confirmed your tree while it was running.

The refund comes within the hour, and is limited to once per site every 30 days. A plan that fails on the service is always refunded, whatever the limit.

A site may plan, or ask for a proposal, up to 40 times a day.

Your tree grows for free #

After you confirm a tree, new pictures with new labels get new folders proposed at no charge. Describing the new pictures still costs a credit each; the folders do not.

What it sends #

Labels and counts only. No picture, caption, file name or folder name leaves your site for a plan. The request and the refund request are listed in What leaves your site.
